The CFPB announced earlier this week that it will discontinue its GovDelivery email notifications (https://ffiec.cfpb.gov/updates-notes). While the CFPB’s decision removes its notification channel, RiskExec’s established monitoring approach remains in place. As part of our ongoing regulatory oversight, we periodically review how updates are communicated to clients. Our existing processes for identifying, evaluating, and communicating relevant regulatory updates remain unchanged.
The CFPB declared last week that, for the week of 1/5/2026, multiple values were published in the base tables on the CFPB Rate Spread site (https://ffiec.cfpb.gov/tools/rate-spread). For certain loan terms, two different sets of data were published.
Going forward, the current set of data uses the higher of the two sets. This is what is in place in RiskExec. At this time, the CFPB has not provided further guidance on how to handle loans that have differences in the Rate Spread based on the two sets, especially as it applies to high-cost lending disclosures. We encourage all users to review their loans for the Lock period of 1/5/2026 - 1/12/2026 and take any action as you deem fit. We will continue to monitor this issue and share additional guidance from the CFBP if it becomes available.
